Description

Montgomery Lions Club

Non-profit organization. WE SERVE! We are a100 year old International service organization. We support humanitarian services and major disaster relief. A few other causes we support are Can-Do-Canines, the American Diabetes Association, Leader Dog for the Blind, MN Lions Vision, Lions Hearing, Project New Hope which serves returning military and their families.

To raise funds, we sponsor two pancake breakfasts (Palm Sunday and one in October), a taco-in-a-bag Kolacky Day food stand, and an election day Booya & Baloney feed.

Projects include donation of dictionaries to third grade students each year, and two oak trees to the City for Memorial Park. We clean up a City park each spring. We sponsored the formation of the new New Prague Lions Club. We also sponsor the Masopust King scholarship in addition to many other donations to community events and activities.

New members are always welcome. Monthly membership meetings are held on the fourth Monday at David's Diner at 7:00 p.m. Monthly board meetings are held the second Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Clubrooms.
